National Highway Authority of India (NHAI)
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) was constituted by an Act. of Parliament, namely the National Highways Authority of India Act , 1988, to develop, maintain and manage the National Highways vested or entrusted to it by the Central Government. It became operational in February, 1995.
Ministry of Road Transport and Highway (MORTH)
An apex organisation under the Central Government, is entrusted with the task of formulating and administering, in consultation with other Central Ministries/Departments, State Governments/UT Administrations, organisations and individuals, policies for Road Transport, National Highways and Transport Research with a view to increasing the mobility and efficiency of the Road Transport system in the country
Haryana Public Works Department (HPWD)
Public Works Department is the premier agency of Govt. of Haryana engaged in planning, designing, construction and maintenance of Government assets in the field of built environment and infrastructure development. Assets in built environment include Hospitals, Schools, Colleges, Technical Institutes, Courts etc; assets in infrastructure development include Roads, Bridges, Flyovers, Footpaths etc.
Karnataka State Public Works Development (KPWD)
The Road Network maintained by the Department consists of National highways, State Highways & Major District Roads. Most of the road network length is either Single Lane or Intermediate Lane.
Indian Academy of Highway Engineering (IAHE)
Indian Academy of Highway Engineers (formerly NITHE) is the apex training institute set up to address the training needs of Highway and Bridge Engineers in the country. It was set up as an Institute in the year 1983 with the primary objective to fulfill the need for training of highway engineers at the entry level and during the service.
